ACM Chapters Meeting

ACM local chapters engage members through talks by local practitioners, visits from prominent speakers from the ACM Distinguished Speakers Program, technical and career workshops, field trips to computing installations, and social activities. Chapters are the engines that drive networking and learning on a local level.

International Resources Committee Sessions

The ACM SIGGRAPH International Resources Committee’s volunteers represent regions of the world and enthusiastically share their professional and language skills with the ACM SIGGRAPH community. Throughout the year, the committee fosters worldwide collaboration among regional CG communities, providing a platform for communication and dissemination of SIGGRAPH-related topics.

Before the conference, the committee works intensively to:

  • Provide an English Review Service to help submitters whose first language is not English
  • Produce information services that make the conference more accessible to international attendees (multilingual podcasts for the Art Gallery, Emerging Technologies, and VR Village; blogs and regional articles; more efficient social media)
  • Organize the regional meetings that are held during the conference.

They manage the International Resources Committee Sessions which are presented at SIGGRAPH Asia 2016.

Are you a planetary citizen interested in international culture, curious about the state of computer graphics across the globe, and eager to share not only your language but also your professional skills with the ACM SIGGRAPH community? We are always looking for people interested in joining us, find us at the SIGGRAPH Village, located on Level 3 outside The Venetian Ballroom.
