Summary of Talk: We are now in a truly global business where work has no geographical limitations anymore. With this limitless opportunities comes a new challenge. How do we adapt to a new environment? What about the culture? What do we need to understand as foreigners in a new country? Summary of Talk: The 1st Edition of Canada China International Film Festival (CCIFF) has held on September 16-19, 2016 at Concordia University downtown campus in Montreal. It brought together more than 150 local researchers, artists, filmmakers, producers, and industry leaders. It also showcased more than 80 films in a 3-day program and over 40 talks from Entertainment Technology Summit and Women in Film and Television Sessions. On Canada 150th anniversary, CCIFF 2017 the goals are to facilitate artistic creative exchange and diversity, new film technologies, and performance experimentation.

Summary of Talk: The ratio of men to women working in Computer Graphics is unbalanced, especially in technical fields where women are still largely outnumbered. What steps are being taken to resolve this imbalance? Are there organizations that women can turn to for support? In this panel, we will discuss these questions and many more about the status of women in the CG industry and academia in Asia, specifically in China.
